TONGAROA is a very well maintained and extensively upgraded example of the highly regarded Leopard 44 cruising catamaran from Robertson & Caine. Designed by Morelli & Melvin, the Leopard 44 combines excellent offshore capability with spacious accommodation and the highly desirable forward cockpit arrangement that made the model one of the most successful cruising catamarans of her generation.

This particular example has benefitted from continuous upgrades and careful ownership, including a substantial refit and modernisation program between 2020 and 2026. Her systems have been comprehensively updated with lithium batteries, large solar capacity, upgraded Raymarine electronics, rebuilt sail drives and engines, new standing and running rigging, new alternators, custom Sunbrella enclosures, and numerous interior and exterior improvements.

Tongaroa is currently registered under Spanish Lista 6ª and is fully charter compliant in Spain. The owning company may also be acquired, offering a potentially tax-efficient ownership structure together with charter income potential. In the past year, the owners selectively chartered the vessel for approximately four weeks with professional skippers, generating sufficient income to offset annual mooring, insurance and some maintenance costs.
