Abery Yachts is CNB’s appointed agent for residents of Andorra and the United Kingdom. We spend most of our time in the Western Mediterranean where we are extremely knowledgeable and have great contacts to help our owners enjoy the use of their yachts.

We have deep insight into the CNB brand with frequent transactions for the CNB 76, CNB 66, and the CNB Bordeaux 60. We remain in contact with owners, helping with crewing, flagging, moorings and ongoing maintenance. We attend the annual CNB owner’s Rendez-Vous as well as the boat shows in Dusseldorf, Palma and Cannes.

Support to new build customers includes regular factory visits and assistance with every aspect of the process from defining the right specification to enjoying the yachts after delivery. CNB welcomes and encourages involvement in the build process.

Most of the CNB yachts we have sold are Mediterranean-based but the majority have made visits to the Caribbean and beyond. The CNB brand has broad appeal and through past sales, we have CNB owners from Spain, France, Switzerland, Argentina, Romania, Russia, Germany, Belgium and Holland as well as the UK.

Read on for insight to the history of the brand, the current range and upcoming events.

About CNB

CNB was founded in Bordeaux by two passionate sailors in 1987. They built a factory on the banks of the Garonne with a focus on designing and building exceptional custom sailing yachts. The first yacht, “MARI-CHA II” was delivered in 1989. Forty-six successful projects later, the delivery of “CHRISCO” signalled the end of the fully custom era of CNB.

In 2009, CNB took the initiative to move to semi-custom production with the launch of the ever-popular CNB Bordeaux 60, a yacht still sought after on today’s brokerage market. Forty-five of the elegant Briand designed performance cruisers were built and delivered.

Following the success of the Bordeaux 60, CNB launched the CNB 76 in 2013 of which thirty-two were built and are sailing today having covered the World’s oceans. The CNB 66 was launched in 2017 of which twenty-three boats were delivered to customers around the world.

The third chapter of the CNB story began in 2021 with the acquisition of CNB by the Solaris Group. Traditional CNB design and timeless elegance by Philippe Briand has been retained and now paired with Italian flair and exceptional quality of finish. A combination to excite all sailors. With production moving from Bordeaux to the Solaris facilities in Italy, plans were immediately put in place to take the brand to new heights, CNB is a brand that is never satisfied with past successes.

The CNB 78 and CNB 88 projects were unveiled with the first CNB 78 launched in 2023 and receiving excellent reviews at her debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival. As of the start of 2024 five more 78s are under construction.

This will be followed by the CNB 62, a yacht designed for those who prefer to sail without crew while retaining the amenities and comfort provided by a larger yacht. The first 62 is expected to be launched in 2025.

CNB 78

The CNB 76 was our favourite yacht, she was an outstanding success for CNB with thirty-two being built. It takes something exceptional to improve on the 76 but CNB has delivered. The new CNB 78.

The new CNB 78 takes the elements that made the 76 such a compelling proposition and improves upon them. The DNA remains – with Philippe Briand also behind the design – but has evolved with even better sailing performance and yet more space created in what we believe is still the class-leading four-cabin layout with the signature CNB kitchen and crew quarters aft.

The first CNB 78 was launched in 2023 and made her debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival that same year. See the review by Toby Hodges of Yachting World here.

Quality and execution are outstanding. We believe anyone looking for a yacht between 70 and 90 feet should take a close look at the CNB 78 before making a decision.

CNB 78

CNB 62

Once again CNB has been working with Philippe Briand and Jean-Marc Piaton, this time to create a yacht that can be sailed in comfort by a couple. The result is the CNB 62, she builds on the success of the CNB Bordeaux 60 of which a remarkable forty-six were built.

The CNB DNA remains but has evolved very significantly. Great thought has been given to making the cockpit and sailing systems even better suited to safe and rewarding short-handed sailing. An arch with a German main sheet keeps the cockpit clear whilst still enabling proper control of the mainsail. The helm positions are forward enough to greatly help protection from the elements and to ensure a close connection with guests in the cockpit area. The deck area behind the helms provides another large relaxation area and below the cockpit floor, Briand has created enough volume for a 2,85 metre RIB to be stored longitudinally for ease of launching and recovery. Of course, the garage door creates a spacious bathing platform.
