CONSTRUCTION & DESIGN

Hull and deck are constructed from a female mould in sandwich with multiaxial E-glass skins and epoxy-vinylester resin. Further reinforcements of biaxial and unidirectional fibres are positioned in areas with greater stress.

The hull core in high density closed cell PVC is glued under a vacuum system with single-skin reinforcement in the areas of the keel, rudder, any equipment and seacocks.

The deck core closed cell PVC is glued under a vacuum system with marine plywood and brass reinforcement corresponding to the areas of the deck equipment.

The hull-deck joint is made by a use of methacrylic bonding (derived from the aerospace industry) and mechanical fixing.

Eight fixed hull windows for saloon, owner cabin and aft cabins

The internal structure consists of a composite network of longitudinal stringers and transverse floor with laminated glass fabrics reinforced with unidirectional carbon fibres.

The structure is reinforced in critical areas to support the loads of the keel, mast and chain plates.

The main bulkhead is in composite and the other structural bulkheads are made from marine plywood and are laminated to the hull.

The keel in “L” shape has a torpedo bulb made of cast lead and antimony while the fin is cast iron.

This ensures excellent performance and lowers the centre of gravity.

Inside the keel is a sump to collect bilge water with a bilge pump to ensure that the bilges are always dry.

The carbon bowsprit is integrated into the deck lamination to obtain a clean line and made for a gennaker or code zero use.
