ALEA CNB 66 was built and launched by CNB Yacht Builders in Bordeaux, France in 2018 and shipped to New Zealand. She has always been professionally maintained by full time crew and her presentation is better than a new boat. She in based in Auckland, New Zealand and ready for her next adventurous owners.


AELA has cruised around New Zealand and the Pacific and served her owners and crew well, providing this Briand designed 66-footer is a perfect long-range, blue water sailing yacht. CNB set out to create and safe and fast yacht with excellent finishes, high quality equipment and ease of handling.


No expense has been spared to keep this yacht in pristine condition and the owners and crew completed and extensive upgrade refit in 2020. List of works carried out is listed below.

Topsides repainted in 2020 in Awlgrip Haze Grey

The hull and structural bulkheads are made of vacuum infused PVC foam / glass / carbon and resin sandwich

Watertight bulkheads forward and aft – bulkheads are laminated and/or bonded to hull and deck

Deck made of composite/PVC foam sandwich is vacuum infused

Deck beams are carbon fibre reinforced

Keel fitted to the hull with s/s bolts

Shallow draft keel with iron fin and lead bulb (2.45 metres)

Twin hanging rudders with vacuum infused rudder blades, s/s rudder stocks and JP3 bearings

Vectran cable on aluminium quadrant

Opening transom/swim platform giving access to tender garage

Additional sound insulation added to forward saloon bulkhead
